About Scott

Scott Berends is a person who brings empathy, creativity, 

and authenticity into everything he does. 

He is dedicated to sign language (PSE) and has long 

supported the Deaf community, 

because he believes that true understanding 

between people begins with honest communication. 

He creates original works of art that are 

not made in a traditional way. 

Each piece carries emotion, a personal story, 

and a message that cannot always be put into words. 

Many people also know him as the “Duck Man of Michigan” 

— a man who spreads joy, humanity, 

and small moments of connection by giving away rubber ducks. 

Scott created a clothing brand that is not about fashion, 

but about who we are. 

At the same time, he works on children’s books, 

where he gently shares values of empathy, 

acceptance, and courage. 

Helping others comes naturally to him — he doesn’t talk about it, 

he simply lives it. 

His tattoos tell the story of his journey, values, 

and life experiences.
